| Hi guy, I have a question I'm headed up to the eagle river Wisconsin area for thanksgiving. I've never been there this late in the season. I've heard after the turnover the fish could be at any depth in the lake. I also heard from a baitshop that it's mainly a sucker bite. Where should I start do you guys really run suckers down 10-12 feet? Any advice to get me started would be really appreciated. I'll report back when I get home.

Location: Madison Wi. Chain | I like to start on deep breaking shoreline on the South East part of the lake. Predominate winds out of the Northwest. I will also Fish deep weeds and extended points. BG |

| Fish the deeper breaks, or just off them. Keep your speed at .3-.5mph. Run one sucker 2 feet off the bottom, one 8-10 feet down. Moving slow is key, especially as you get later in the year. |

Sharpen the hooks. Good luck.

| Thanks guys I'm gearing up got the ranger all polished batteries charged. I read in some reports to try a fuzzy duzzit and some bondies. Is there anything else I have a couple of the phantom hardheads in the medium size and a whole lot of bulldog type baits. I guess what I'm hearing is slow and deep. Wish I could run back up to vermilion but I'll be with the family in eagle river for the holiday. Thanks again for the tips. Very much appreciated. |
