Hey guys. Just talked with Sworrall and DaveJ last night about the trip. Figured it would be a good thing to have a chat about the upcoming Sabaskong trip far enough in advance that if you needed to purchase some stuff for the trip you had time to track it down.

I know Steve had said just bring anything you'll think you'll need for a weeks trip + towels and you'd be set. I know this is my first trip to Canada so I'm a touch nervous about what to bring.

Steve said he would set up a chat date/time later this week to BS about the upcoming trip.

He also said bright colors.

and towels, just like Cass.
Yeah, that would be a great idea. Not sure who is still in the Ranger Meal Plan and who's letting the lodge do the cooking. Once we get food issues out of the way, where are the fish? I hear LOTW is at its lowest water level since 1988, so the fish won't be where they were before. Let us know, I'm in. m

I'm into a chat.  I'd like to hear what everyone has to say.

I'll bring copies of some charts I have....and I'm bringing plenty of bug spray.

What's the low-down so far on the meal planning??

Steve

Since I'm out someone else will have to step forward on the meal planning for LOTW. The "Cass Lake Monster Outing" meal planning is well documented and provides the blueprint. I was thinking that the LOTW deal must be very carefully considered because of space limitations associated with transporting the goods by boat to the lodge. Good luck and I wish I could go, but LOTW is not to be this year.

Count me in. This will be my first trip to Canada and I would like to get as much information on what to expect as I can.

You guys set a number of dates that work for chats, I will see if I can get Grant from the lodge to come on and work the chat room one of those nights.

Hey Mauser-
Email me your new address. I tried the cjc one and it came back. Or I could have a typo but it worked before.

Slamr comes through! I'd suggest either Aug. 4,5,6 or 12, 13 at the latest. Having Grant on the chat would be great. Any info about fishing conditions will be welcome. thanks, m

How about we go for the 12th, as that is pretty close and will be perfect for  us older gents who have shorter attention spans and memory.

I'll contact Grant and Lorette, and see if they can make it somehow. Not sure if they have access on the Island. I will call them to see.

If not, Shep, we can call them in advance to be sure we cover all the bases, want me to do that?

Is it time to leave yet?
