| Hi Everyone Looking for a little advice on a smaller bucktail/crankbait rod. Looking at an 8'6" as that is the largest that will fit in my truck bed. I am looking to toss mostly double showgirls and smaller bucktails. As far as cranks go, probably 6-8 inch grandmas/Jakes/shallow raiders. Mainly the bucktails though. I have seen a lot of people like MH rods for bucktails but I think it might be too light. I do have a 7'6" heavy action fenwick for jerkbaits that I do like the action on that. Just wondering what everyones preference is for tossing the smaller bucktails (double showgirls). I looked at the chaos assault sticks and was thinking of maybe giving one of them a try. I have musky mojo rods and fenwick elitetech predator rods and like them both. Thanks for taking a look. |

Unfortunately ratings do not coincide with different manufacturers. Ones' H is another ones MH. |

Location: Chisholm, MN | Maybe consider getting an Abu 2 piece rod? That way you could go longer. I haven't used them but hear good things. I couldn't tell you what weight to get. |

Location: mercer wi | If your looking at stcroix, the premier 86 mh is a great rod for what your talking about using it for. The 86 h will also preform and give you the option to use it for bigger stuff too |

Location: MN | I would suggest the heavy. I have an 8" heavy and it's my do everything Rod. The extra backbone is nice for the bucktails. |

| St croix, 8'6" heavy all the way. Mh seams to be a bit soft for me, but my older dad would be better off with mh. |
