| CA custom box. You'll need one milk crate, one or two sticks vinyl downspout (the Lowe's by me has the thickest walled downspout I've found to date), fine-tooth blade in the miter saw/cutoff saw and fine-tooth blade in the table saw.
Cut downspout to desired lengths with miter saw. Go slow, the downspout likes to chip if cut too fast or with a large-toothed blade.
Set table saw blade just high enough that when you run the end of a downspout over the blade, the blade makes a kerf 1/4" - 3/8" deep. The kerf is the notch for hooks. I make 3 kerfs per long edge and 2 kerfs per short edge.
Stack downspout pieces on end in the milk crate. $30 of materials should make 1+ CA box.
If you don't want your Pounder tails to stick out the bottom, line the bottom of the milk crate with sections of vinyl gutter screen.
And don't place hooks to the outermost kerfs of the CA box. That was a painful lesson. |

Location: Minneapolis, MN | You can also get a tall soft sided cooler and place cut downspout in there. Heck, I built a box out of downspout. |

| Baits drain and dry out quickly. I put a piece of dollar store kids slider on the bottom to keep hooks from getting hung up. A strap from an old bag for carrying.

Location: MN | A Plano 3731 (deep 3700 with no dividers) will fit fairly large baits. 16" baits might not fit, but there are bigger single compartment Plano boxes that would be able to fit just about anything. |
