| My dad and I were fishing last night and dad caught what I am positive was a very fat old 41 inch male. He was covered in spawning scars but was in overall good shape. When he was released he was swam a short distance on the surface before going down. While on the surface another fish probably in the mid 30s came up and swam next to him. We casted at the second fish several times and it would not leave it's larger buddy. When the bigger fish went down so did the smaller one. Has anyone ever had this happen before? |

| I've had two fish follow the same lure at the same time. Also had two different instances where a fish followed halfway to the boat, freaked out, took off, and was immediately replaced by a larger fish.
All the more reason to work through a spot more than once, even after you catch a fish... |

Location: Walker, MN | Maybe the smaller one saw the thrashing and thought the fish that you caught was feeding? I don't know, sounds like a cool experience. |
