| So it was a great weekend for myself on the water. Managed to catch my first 50+". She was 51" x 22" and hit like a ton of bricks.
Since it's hopefully the first of many, I would like to get a replica done. Obviously LAX and Fittante get the bulk of the work and I would likely choose from the two, but I would like to see pictures of other work they have done. I know they have galleries on the websites, however I figured this outlet would be as good as any.
Let's see what you guys have! Thanks in advance!

Location: Duluth, MN | This is from Artistic Anglers in Duluth. Leech Laker with the spots and orange fins.
They are a little different in they have a textured feel to it. I think some of the places go with a glossy smooth surface.

| Beautiful Fish!! Congratulations on the nice catch.
As far as getting a replica, you really can't go wrong with any of the three already mentioned (Lax, Fittante, and Artistic Angler).
Below is the one I got done by Fittante
As a side note: My fish measured 53.5" long by 23.5" in girth and the replica Fittante made matched those dimensions within an 1/8" each! (Being an engineer, I had to measure to see how close it was). Also note the black dot on the musky's cheek in picture 2. The fish I caught had that exact mark (among a few other small unique features) and Fittante picked up on those and incorporated them into the replica to make it unique to my catch.

| Thanks for that! Beautiful mount!
I see that the darker spot about half way down isn't on the mount. My fish has a similar spot and I'd want to make sure it was there on the replica. I'm sure I could make that request with Rick at the time of ordering. |

| Greetings,
I had a replica made several years ago that was a composite of two fish that I caught, within days of each other, that were both 50+ inches. I had good photographs of one fish, and good measurements of the length of both fish. Unfortunately for me, I did not have any girth measurements of either fish.
I interviewed Rick Lax and Joe Fittante. I liked both of them and their work. I showed them my photographs. Without any prompting, Joe told me the girth of my fish and where I caught it, as evidenced by the color pattern of the bars on the fish. Joe's comments sealed the deal for me, as I ended up going with Joe to make my replica.
I'm a lousy photographer, so will save you that pain. I was more than pleased with Joe's work. |
