When does Turnover start/happen?
I am by no means an expert on this subject but I was always told/read it is a gradual process that starts at 59 degrees and depending on the air temps can take a different amount of time on every given body of water. I am not sure at what temp the process is complete because I haven't followed it that close.
So if it is in fact 59 degrees, I would expect it is happening already or about to.
I do know I have seen lakes froze over in my lifetime anywhere from the Oct 24 to Nov 10th.

Fish the bigger lakes then you'll most likely NOT hit turnover.... YET. BUT, if they are in fact in turnover, move to the small lakes.... they are DONE!!!

I'm going to be up in vilas county around October 8 and was wondering if that will be to early for suckers?
Also if anyone can help me with lakes or areas that would be greatly appreciated!
We ran them all last weekend long on Palmer and Tenderfoot. Water temps were low 60's. You'll be fine. Suckers aren't cheap though, we paid 9.00 for Mediums.
