| Hey All, Here’s a new bait I’ve been playing with. I’m calling it a “darter” style, but that’s just because of the open mouth. Bottom line is that it’s a jerkbait, but it can be just strait cranked too. I 3D printed this one. This is the first time I’m trying this method of prototyping. In the past I’ve always CNC cut my prototypes out of wood and then cut a mold. This time I’m 3D printing my model and then will cast a urethane mold from it. Maybe or maybe not cut a hard mold. What do you think? It will look much better after I paint it.

Location: North St. Paul, MN | I'd take one! I'm a jerkbait junky and just love seeing what subtle differences each one does. I have a couple custom dive and rise made by muletrain (on here) that are way different than other D&R.
Do you think this one will dive, rise and side to side? |

| “Burmek and Suick had a baby” LOL I’m uncertain how I feel about that comment. The 3D printing is cool. The materials are too dense for actually using the bait though. It is a pretty good method for creating a master to cast a urethane mold from. I have a pretty good idea in my head what the bait is going to do, but still have lots of sampling to do. The bait will be tunable with that tail and will likely go in all directions depending. My son is in college now, he doesn’t have much time for fishing or baits right now, doesn’t even have much time for Dad right now lol I’m not sure what color I’ll be painting them. I just finished up a walleye pattern that I’m happy with the way it turned out; maybe I’ll do some of those
