| So i broke my ti xxxh by accident and i am looking for a replacement rod.
The smallest lure that i will use on that setup is the 23oz mammoth curly sue.
How good is the xxh at casting 2pounders compared to the ti xxxh?
And is there any other options i might have missed?

| Was my fault that i broke it. Would be unfair of me to try to have it replaced for free |

Location: Elk River, MN | He tells everyone up front he doesn't care how it broke, any way it breaks he'll replace it, even if it's 100% your fault. It's not free either though, I believe its like $50. Slamming the rod in a car door was the example he gave me. James is a great guy to work with and he'll take care of you.

| I live in europe. It will cost me more to have the broken rod shipped to him and then pay for the shipping of the new rod + 50 than to just buy a new rod.
Besides I am also interested in the thorne bro xxh if it is as powerful as the ti xxxh.
But thanks anyway for the info!

LOL I don't care if your dog chews your TI rod up, its covered. And YES, a dog has chewed up one of my customers rods in the past Ran over, dog chewed up, drunk fell on it, wife closed in door, ceiling fan cut tip off, and the hilarious list goes on and on. I really enjoy when guys tell me how they broke it... LOL

None of these comes close to handling the baits, he mentioned.
The Ti xxh CAN throw the 2lb'er if you really want it to(yes i done it for an hour or so), but it does not feel good in any way. |

Then I think the only way is that he has to buy another TI XXXH rod.

| The XXH Pred handles 2 pounders and Mammoth Curly Sue's and the Mammoth Medusa's with ease. Loads up and launches them very well. I have never touched a TI rod so I can not offer a comparison.... |

Location: Metro | I just got my rod and have had 3 outings with it. Haven't caught a fish with it yet but I love my TI. Now I throw my other stuff and it feels like toys compared to the TI's. I throw dbl 8s with a HS Beast and it works great. Yes it feels a little odd at first but you can really launch those baits.
If I were to get another rod it will definitely be a TI. Oh and you can't beat the fact that he has a no questions asked replacement policy (I break too much sh*t). |

| I did sometimes cast magnum size plastics and dlb 10s and 13s but dont enjoy doing it for long and usualy end up throwing a 16 inch line thru trout or a 2 pounder on my line.
The thing is that the rod feels overpowered for anything smaller than 20 oz so when i take it fishing the smallest bait i usually have with me weights 23oz
I have never trolled huge cranks with it but i have casted the 16 inch grunt with it a few times and have enjoyed the felling. Unfortunatly i fish from the shore so i dont use big deep diving cranks much.

He has everything from MH-XXXH, and everything in between on his site. https://tackleindustries.com/product-category/musky_pike_bas_walleye...
It should say on the side of your rod what power your rod is |

How do you keep the 2 pounder high enough if you have problems with the big cranks? |
