I bought a couple of Greg Nimmer's Prop Dogs. In an effort to preserve the paint job I decided to have a bait painter put a thin coat of lacquer on one of them. The guy did a beautiful job and it looks great, but the tail no longer spins like it used to. Prior to being lacquered I could spin that rear tail section and it would make several revolutions freely. Now I'm lucky if it goes halfway around once. I suspect some lacquer may have settled into the shaft of the bait. Any suggestions as how to free up the tail would be appreciated.

If u have a desk job, take it to work and spin it all day in hand. It will free up.

not familiar with the bait but................... some kind of thinner to dissolve it? or attach it to your trucks antenna and just keep on driving. used to do it to buzz baits to get them to squeal and whine, that drove the fish crazy back in the day. got strange looks from passer byes but i usually get that anyway. LOL.

Not Greg's issue, he had the bait refinished with a clear coat.
