Location: Metro | Hey guys,
So I was out on Tonka last night and was casting the weighted Kramer bucktail. While I was reeling in the blades activated but it felt funny and not consistent like there might be a weed on the blade. Reeled up and shook the bait but didn't see any weeds. Tossed it back out and felt the same thing. When I took a closer look I could see that one of the blades had fallen off. The piece that holds the blades on had literally snapped in two allowing the blade to just fall off.
Just wondering if anyone has experienced this with a Kramer. The blades were great and the reflective tape wasn't even damaged a bit yet. Can I get a replacement blade? |

| Mike would probably assist you with that, otherwise you could get the tape and a blade from Thornes and rebuild it.

Location: MN | Its not a Kramer issue sounds like the Clevis gave out... I would reach out to him and see if he can help you out with a blade and Clevis. I assume you can reshaft a bucktail if not let me know. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | It's time again for a protocol review for MuskieFIRST 'product issue' posts. Please contact the manufacturer FIRST allowing them time to respond (as in allowing them a reasonable time to respond), then report on what occurred if you are for some reason still compelled to do so. Remember, stuff breaks no matter who built the product, that's why companies have customer service/warranty available.
Postings like this one are not fair to the builder, forcing an answer from a defensive position or no answer at all.
Please take the time to find the contact info and call/email/ send a letter.
Many builders/manufacturers have stopped posting here entirely as a result of this type of post, and we hate to lose the participation.
Thanks! |

Location: Metro | I wasn't bashing Kramer at all. I love their blades and plan to buy many more. I was just wondering if I could get a replacement... I should have worded it better.
For anyone that hasn't thrown a Kramer I highly recommend it! The bucktail I was talking about in my post was my go to bait. |

If you contact Kramer Bros you will certainly get an answer about a replacement, I'm sure. Yes they are sweet bucktails. |

Location: Hayward, WI | I've only had it happen once on a bucktail I threw a lot, but yes the clevises do wear out and break. Good reminder to myself to reshaft with new clevises now and then on the old tried and true and often thrown bucktails. |

That's the issue at hand, intent and how the post actually reads are subjective. Thanks eveyone, for taking this into consideration before posting. |
