I haven't fished since the end of June. Just got married, moved to Waukee and got a new job so I'm ready to decompress by chasing teeth. Anybody doing good? PM me if you don't want publicity for your lake of choice.

Anyone have any recent info on the bite on the Cedar Rapids area lakes?
I've fished MacBride a few times (with no success) and am thinking about giving Pleasant Creek a go soon. I know they just 'renovated' PC and was able to pull up a satellite image when the lake was low to see all the new structure, but doesn't look like a ton of traditional musky structure to me - if anyone has any pointers on the lake, that'd be great.

I've had luck there in the fall with large suckers on quick strike rigs + casting and trolling. Trolling seems to work well, although I must admit, I'm no expert as mostly target muskies casting. Trolling fish I've caught were in the basin around schools of other fish. Most I have marked on the graph suspended, went over them and connected. Hope this helps.
