I found a nice lund with everything I need but it has a Johnson 904stroke. I guess these are the same power heads as Suzuki?? I am looking for information on either and what everyone thinks of them. Thanks again for all the help with narrowing down my choices. I should have enough information/money in 2-3 weeks to get the boat. I will post a pic when I get it together. I will also be looking for a fishing partner to break it in..

Is the boat a 1700 Angler SS? If so, you will be very happy with it. 90 HP may be a little shy on HP, but this boat planes out so easily, you'll probably be fine. Suzzies are fine motors. You should get near 40 MPH with it, with a average load, I would think.

The Johnson 4strokes are 100% Suzuki and have been since OMC interduced the 4strokes. I just replaced my johnson 115 with a 140 suzy with a 8 year warenty Have used the 140 now for 18 guide day"s on the Cave. Look the 90 up on the Suzuki web page to find out about you motor. The 4 strokes will eventualy replace the 2 cyl. motors. My new 140 Suzy is everthing they say it is. See if you can get a warenty with the 90 they do transfer them. GO TA (GO FGR-(8) Marv.

Its going on a 16Mr.Pike. I have always been a Merc fan and I was a little unsure on going with Johnson.
