Location: Ham Lake, Minnesota | Hello all,
I have always used round reels(Ambassadeurs early on and Calcuttas now), but I am ready to give a low-profile reel a shot. Conveniently, I need to purchase a reel for my St. Croix Top N Tail that I use for topwater and glide baits. A high speed reel is key, preferably 30 inches of line per crank.
Both the reels cited meet this criteria. Will the 50 size fit the Top N Tail rod better?
I am concerned the 60 series will be too large and cumbersome for the Top N Tail.
Thank you.

| 60s are not that big at all. Tranx and Lexas are huge though. |
