Yep. I use a daily planner and record the following: the lake, weather conditions, lures used, areas of the lake, depth, cover, bottom, retrieve speed, strikes, time of day, water temp, clarity, time of day, moon phase, moon/sun rise/set.

I keep a fishing journal on my phone, don't have tons of data yet, but it's starting to seem worth while just from how much I enjoy reading back on trips past.

I keep a log of everything from each outing: date, time on the water, air temp, water temp, clouds/sun, wind, time of activity, major/minor times, structure fished, how i fished it, lures used.

I would recommend doing it after every outing. It gets difficult if you put it off a few days, weeks.

Muskies Inc Lunge Log. Not only my fish, but over 370,000 muskie records that you can view. You can break down the data several different ways to zero in on the lake, and time you're going to fish. Another benefit on your M I membership.

Seems a to be a little more than basic ha ha. I thought you were going to stop at date, time on water, and air temp. ^^
