| Water temps in the morning were 73-74 going up to 78 in the pm. All of our fishing done in the am or at night. Daytime was for kayaking and swimming. The shallow weed bite for us was non existent. Between the family we caught 7 over 30 with 4 shorts. All of our fish came in deeper water. Many fish out suspended on the ERC. Perch patterned crankbaits worked for us. Bucktails and topwater just didn't get a reaction. Deep water near current areas were the ticket. Perch were cooperative. We caught more on crawlers but bigger with leeches. Most of all- a lot of fun. | |
