| Im heading to whitefish bay in a couple weeks for week of Muskie fishing. Ive been fishing the Angle for the last 10 years and have my tactics dialed in there, but I was lucky enough to win a trip to whitefish bay so I'm giving it a try. With the gin clear water up there, should I be targeting different structure? Deeper? Different lures?

| Focus on prime times and rocks. I stayed there in late June, and moved some nice fish on the North end of the bay. Lost a couple too. They were coming out of about 8 ft of water then, but I'm sure that's changed a bit. I'd look for shallow rocks that have a shelf in 8-15 ft, then drop off deeper than that.
If you're open to a long run in the boat, you can make the 20ish mile run NW to find a higher concentration of fish. |
