| I got a 29" and 46" on back to back casts about 17 years ago. I have also caught 3 muskies (36,39,43) and a 10 pound bass within about a 20-30 min time frame. |

LOL, similar story for me. I caught 4 fish in 5 casts once. Dairyland Res., early season, sometime back in the late 90's. IIRC, it went like this: pull up to spot, first cast, 34". Next cast, 35.5". Next cast, 32". Next cast, nothing. (I was like, WTF, where'd they go?). But next cast, boom, 42.5".
So, yeah, the window was obviously wide open...but instead of continuing to fish through the remainder of the sunset/dusk, after the 42.5", I just packed up the gear and left for home. Not sure why I didn't keep casting, I was on a crazy high at that point, so maybe not thinking straight....I still wonder sometimes how many more fish were catchable on that spot. |

| 46" and 46" (different fish).
After I caught the first one and cracked a beer to celebrate, I said, "You know, we should probably be casting instead."
First cast...BAM! partner scores another nice one off the same exact spot.

| My friend lost a GIANT he hooked in a figure eight a few summers ago. It was LONG and THICK and it ate his whole double dog and still came undone.
After 30 seconds of silence and a loud obscenity, he cast his bait as far as he could in anger , immediately hooked a high 40's fish that violently jumped and threw his bait 10'.
It was reallllllly quiet for a while after. |

| I have never caught a muskie on back to back casts but have caught another one within a hour thou, but if I did I know a window opened and keep casting because it isn't going to last long. After landing a fish I always like to get right back at it because you never know if a window just opened up and you could catch multiple fish is a short amount of time. Anyone that has fished for muskies for any length of time knows its hours of boredom followed by moments of fast action. Its seems that's how muskies are whenever your not paying attention they will show up and or hit so I always say to myself stay alert because its going happen and I got to be ready. You know the old saying luck is when chance and opportunity meet. |

| Got a 46 a couple casts into my first outing last year. The release was tedious, as she flopped going onto the board and banged her head a bit. Next cast had a bigger one come from deep and miss the bait hanging on the 8. How it missed baffles me. |

| Earlier this year I got back-to-back tigers (41", 38"). Was releasing the first and saw the 2nd swirl in the exact same spot. About 30 mins later I pulled a 3rd from that spot as well.
Quite a few years back, went something like 21", 21.5", 23" bass on consecutive casts with a top-raider.

| Caught a 39 and a 43 on back to back casts and then caught a 40 two casts later. We ended up with 6 fish that day plus lost a couple other fish in a couple obvious bite windows that lasted an hour each |

| My friend and I had a double once where we both caught fish on the figure 8 at the same time, both working our fish by the boat at the same time. We each brought our based in and send theres one, he said, "I got it"...before he could finish saying that, I hooked mine...it was quite fun trying to get the rest figured out...neither was terribly big but it was a blast. |

| yep several times, I remember one in particular catching a 32" right on a spot we had seen a couple of very nice fish the previous day, 32" slams the bait and I yell I got her! 3 cranks of the reel and I comment "the rats moved in" , quick water release.. next cast one of the big girls eats ... I almost had back to back 50"+ once... night fishing stick a 51" next cast lost a fish equal to or slightly larger right at the net, I think the net touched her and she woke up.. would have been crazy to get back to back 50's, but definitely was the least mad I've ever been losing a 50, was still jacked up from the first - ha! |

We went out and he had a follow, couple casts later he hooks the fish and lands it. After a little celebration he picks up his rod and makes a cast.. BAM another one. He was pretty happy, as he should have been. |

| long time ago I was alone and got two 36ers.
with my friend we both had one on suckers one November. Mine went west, his went east, so I let out tons of line so he could get his 38. My line iced up and I couldn't get it back in the reel so I tried to hand land it like ice fishing, but it shook off just below the net. |

| I tell my fishing buddies that if I have one on keep casting because they often feed together. The first time I proved this theory I caught 3 in three casts while my partner just stood in the boat sulking. Since I have had a number of b2b's. The funniest was after dinner at a friends house, I went down to the dock and cast to the left and caught a 24 and that was the second 24 for the day because I caught one in the morning. This was after labor day but my first day fishing all year so I teased my friend who only caught 2 fishing all summer. She said mine didn't count they were to little. I replied "watch this", a cast to the right and a 48". |

| Netted two fish at once when sucker fishing. Third rod went off. Set the hook on it, felt it wasn't too big, put the rod back in the rod holder and got the two fish out of the net and released. Picked up the third rod, fish was still on, got it in.
So they weren't on "casts", but certainly a pack of fish came through and they were hungry!
I was hit on back to back casts, though. Same fish. It hit and shook my lure. I got the boat back in position, bombed another cast and was hit again. Caught the fish this time. 38 incher. It was the same fish. Hungry and stupid. That's how I like 'em. |

Location: Chicago, IL | Yep- in 2012 stuck my first fifty (51") catch, photo, released it. Took time to girth it while in the water. My buddy and I were absolutely PUMPED! It was a Thu night on a week long NW Ontario trip after we had seen tons of bigguns. We finally got organized and caught or breath. On my first cast after releasing the big girl, I decided to cast over to the deep side to get my line spooled back up right and BAM 44.5" that smashed my bulldawg as soon as it hit the water. Didn't know what was going on! Haha. Great memory. |

I had the same fish hit a WTD right at dark 2 casts in a row. Shook me the first time, no hooks the second. Ran back up did the drift again got to the end threw a pacemaker instead, whammy, caught that fish on the 3rd try. |

Love those stupid/hungry fish!
I was guiding a fella once. He caught a scrappy little 28 incher. We released it, I made a cast, got a hit and reeled in a 28 incher...no fight in it at all. Same fish. I've always wondered if that stupid, hungry fish grew up and I got her at 38 inches.
BTW...love these stories. Memories and action like this make those long uneventful days on the water kind of worth it. |

Location: davis,IL | Not back to back casts, but pulled up in a smaller bay a couple of years ago in Canada. There was a couple boats fishing the "shore side of the bay and doing nothing. Pulled up on the "point side...a couple hundred yards away and caught a 45 and 48 within a dozen casts. Need less to say they left quickly in disgust. And no I did not "cut them off", they were on the western shore and I was on the eastern. |

| Last year a buddy and me pounded the water to a froth.... With 2 lazy follows under "ideal" conditions, In about a 10 hr day. Next morning had to drag myself out of bed. In a 2 and a half hour span seen 18 fish. On the exact same spots we were fishing on the previous day. Felt like I was dreaming seemed as every cast I had a fish coming in hot. Moved 6 fish off one reef. Ranging from small to 50" fish. Ended up catching 3 of them. And missed a couple golden opertunities. I have never seen anything even remotely close to that morning and not sure if I ever will. |

| Fishing with my significant other and we are fishing a heavily pressured lake. We try to get past this boat going the opposite direction and we go deep away from where they are casting. As we get close to parallel they flip around and cut us off. We take the high road and go somewhere else, but the lake is so tiny you can't actually get too far away.
We end up boating our forth fish of the morning and are unhooking / releasing the fish and that same boat swoops in from a considerable distance and starts casting from the weed edge to our boat, probably only at most 20 yards away the entire time we are releasing the fish. We release the fish and three pulls into the first cast after releasing the fish I hook / catch another fish. That was the most satisfying fish I have ever caught and the thing couldn't have gone 3'. We ended up catching 6 in the few hours we fished that unreal morning. |

Location: Illinois | The first family vacation trip to northern Wisconsin I caught 2 small low 30" fish on back to backs. It was actually the first 2 fish that I landed in my boat(had caught a couple with a guide previous). Over the next hour had 9 follows/strikes and caught 2 fish (again smaller fish up to 36"). I only get one full week a year to go and a couple long weekend trips. Near dark my then 10 year old son says "here's another one dad", I look back and he's sitting in the chair "walking" a 40"+ down the side of the boat. He was throwing a bass spinnerbait because "Muskie have teeth and he didn't want to get bit" lol. I tell him to do a figure 8(I had already taught him that previously), he stands up and the fish lunges for the bait and he proceeds to scream like a girl and pulls the bait away! I still tease him about that nearly 12 years later. It still stands as the biggest Muskie he's had an opportunity to catch. He only gets a few days a year to go Muskie fishing with me. He is the "Pike Master" though. Every trip he catches big pike and numbers. Personal best of 40" and multiple 34-38's. I always catch snot rocket hammer handles. That one evening completely gave me the "fever" for life. I hardly ever fish for anything but Muskie unless it's do to having others with who want to catch bass/panfish etc. |
