| Aren't the new Slammers plastic? If so wouldn't they last longer than the Big Games? |

I'll tell you this much something changed. The last three slammers I've purchased took forever to tune. They would role on jerks and run way off to one side. I would troll them occasionally in the past but the three I got this year I can't. I can visibly see the lip of the bait is off centered. I went on Slammers website and they have some tuning videos which defiantly helped but I had to shave at least a 1/8 inch of plastic off one bill just to make it castable. I love slammers just wish I didn't have to play around with them so much off the shelf. Have no idea about the big game but I was considering trying them at the time and hear great things about them.

| I have had that problem with some 5" shads that wouldn't tune. I could cast them but to troll them they just end up dragging on top. |

They're both good baits... try each and see what what works for you. |

Location: Northern Wisconsin | Big games are made of balsa and have much different/better action IMO. They get chewed up and still work just fine. Can always reapply some epoxy. They have boated many big fish in my boat. |

| Slammers all the way! The 5" shads you have to put on heavier hook if you want to troll fast. |

| I have run both, Big Game gets the nod. 7" and 9" Big Games are hard to beat. They are strapped on our rods about every tournament. |

Location: Lake County Illinois | Big Game. Im a big fan of balsa baits,Cranes and Big Game mainly for twitching, balsa is not very durable but for me it seems to put more fish in the boat. |

ditto^^
I like Slammers, but Big Games and Cranes are a notch above for me, at least for twitching |

| I use both the Big Games and Slammers in the 7" size. Can't say one is "better" than the other. Different actions as others have noted. Slammers with the wide wobble work well to "move water" and give what I perceive to be more vibration. Big Games when slow twitching or for a more subtle presentation. |

| Howdy,
Pete, thanks for the detailed description. How do they compare to a Crane?
Thanks,

| I have had great luck on the 7" big games. Spring-fall they have killer action. |

| The Big Game in 6" and 8" "surface twitch" are a harder charging bait, very much like a Crane. I have found the durability to be better on the Big Game. Both catch fish of course. Just my preference. 7" and 9" Big Games approach more toward a neutral buoyancy (but still float), thus get more swing in the twitching process. |

| Action on the Big Game is closer to the Crane. They tend to run deeper though. Slammer has a much wider tail wag. |
