Hello All

I would like to give Mille Lacs a shot. Never fished it before. Used to fish Leech on a regular basis when I lived on the lake, so I am experienced with big water. I live in the Duluth area and was wondering where a good spot to launch the boat "close" to good fishing spots. I'd prefer to keep to the North eastern side to the South eastern side of the lake, which of course is a BIG area. I don't plan to fish that whole area, but would like info on where to launch close to fishable spots along those areas. Is North better than South? Rocks, weeds? I'll be fishing out of a 17' crestline with a 70HP.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hunters point or agate are usually where I launch. If you want to fish the north Eastern section I would go with red door.

Be ready to trailer. Fish where the lake will let you fish. Pay attention to the wind forecast, it doesn't take a lot of wind on that lake to make one side of the other unfishable. At the same time the other side can seem calm.

Do you usually put in at the Resorts, if so, is there a fee? From those spots where do you go fish? Are there many rock reefs in that area compared to the south eastern part of the lake? Is there some good fishing not too far out from the city/town of Isle? Thanks for the info guys.

I would recommend putting in at a resort, they'll watch over your truck for ya. Had a buddy get his truck broken into at a public launch. Isle bay is sum weeds and then you can go out farther towards main lake and there is alot of rock reefs out there. Good luck.
