I have yet to see one up close here in SE Wisconsin. My cousin's coworker has a 2012 V172 Angler with the single console, 115 Yamaha 4 stroke, etc. It looks nice and wide 93" ish and according to him, he has been pleased with it, but doesn't use it enough to justify having it. Since it's a few hour trip just to see it Id like to know if anyone has one or has fished out of one and can tell me the good or bad. I have seen some good reviews and some not so good reviews. I never had considered one but the specs read nicely and the Yamaha motor is appealing. I do not know the price he is asking yet or details on which trolling motor and graphs.

Hey Pat I had a 185 V with a 200 Yamaha loved the boat and the ride. Very stable and dry...
Good luck

Thanks for the reply. Wally, how was the resale value?

There's a G3 dealer in Whitewater who said they do not see much in warranty work which is good to hear. I may have to take the drive and check it out.

My old man got a 172 about 5 years ago and loves it. (he's a MN backtroller though) The other weekend my GF and him were catching panfish out the back while my mom and I where tossing out the front.

I currently have a 2006 V170 Angler and absolutely love it and it is a sound and solid boat and great on maintenance just annual winterization so far. Yamaha 4-stroke 90 runs quiet and sips gas. Fishes great and very easy to handle.
