My son and I are Planning a musky trip to Leech lake first week of September and looking for suggestions on lodging. Looking for either a house or cottage to rent.

We have been going to Vermillion the last few years and looking for a different lake to try. If you have any other suggestions please let me know.

Thanks

Dan

I really like Brindley's. It's in Trader's Bay with easy access to whatever part of the lake you want to fish. They have a nice harbor and nice cabins too.

Heading to Brindley's this weekend (on a referral from the in-laws friends)....never been to Leech, so, not sure what to expect. My son and his friend are sure excited, though!

If you are looking toward the north end of the lake New leech lake campground has nice and reasonable lodge room apts one of which has a nice big deck and overlooks the bay. Generally sleep 6 people. If you want any other info let me know i have a place there.

Thanks for all the replays. We will be fishing primarily for musky and would prefer a location of the lake that is more productive the first part of September. We have never been to leech so any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again,

Dan

Again, sand/reed bite prevalent then so if you aren't fishing rocks primarily portage and sucker bays can be dynamite. Kind of why i suggested the campground on the NW corner of portage. If you do end up on that end let me know i can probably help you get started.
