After reading how many people have had issues with stuff getting taken out of boats was wondering if any of you have any reccomandations. Mainly worried about overnight prowlers in parking lots or leaving it overnight at resort dock. Would motion sensor get set off by boat rocking with the waves?

I bought a motion detector alarm from Harbor Freight. I put the sensor in the rear of my front deck in the corner. If someone were to go under the cover and move around, it would trigger the alarm. The alarm unit goes in my room. It is loud and will definitely wake you up. For less than $20 it lets me sleep through the night. Obviously, I lock my compartments too.
I would have done the Lock R Bar but the sides of a Tuffy are not ideal for mounting it. And I didn't consider marine alarms. They are way overpriced.
