Location: Watersmeet, Michigan | The rear casting deck on my Lund Impact is small, so small that you have to remove the seat before you can trim up the engine. I finally finished the extension. Plenty of room and I gained some storage space in the process. The only part I'm not satisfied with are the hatch covers. They're designed to be carpeted, but my buddy who did the carpet for me, a retired installer, said we'd never get it to stay down. Anyway, I sprayed them with truck bed liner. Not very pretty, but it works.

| I plan to build a rear deck on my boat this winter. I want the batteries and gas tank out of sight and have a deck for my buddies. What did you build it out of.
Thanks |

Thanks. The hatch covers and carpeting are factory. (Carpet isn't packed and faded yet, otherwise it would match perfectly!) Carpeting was only $20 |

Location: Watersmeet, Michigan | Made from 1/2 inch marine plywood. I don't have many tools, so I just used cleat construction, and reinforced the area around the seat with 1 1/2 inch treated 2x6 |

| That is awesome. I have a Lund Mr. Pike with about the same rear deck space. I would like to add an extension like that for more casting stability and comfort in the rear. |
