DougJ and others refer to lures as tools. The best tools are the crescent wrench baits that are very versatile. If you could "have it all" in a single lure... what would that bait do?

Or... what are some of the best crescent wrench baits out there... and how could they be made better?

My 'pliers' bait has always been a creature.

I have too many sons to hold on the a crescent wrench for long.[]

If the creature/jig is the cresent of musky lures or all lures for the matter, the crankbait is a good set of pliers. Funny thing is though, when I'm at work I'll try to use my cresent as a wrench, hammer and anything else I can use it for. When fishing I bring all my tools along and change tools for each task. I sometimes try to use many different tools for the same task. As much as I think I know about fishing and as little as I think I know about fixing things, I've never tried to use my cresent wrench as a screwdriver but I'm sure I have tried this when fishing. Hmmm, you guys seem pretty tight lipped. I guess everyone is content with needing 50 specialized lures to do the job that 5 crescent wrench (versatile) baits could do....
