Ok, I'm not much of a spinnerbaits guy but i fish alot of really shallow weedy areas and I think getting confident in spinnerbaits will put more fish in my boat. Anyone have any recomendations for some well built pin style spinnerbaits that look good and run fairly weedless?

I'll 2nd to Violent Strike. Amazing how weedless these are. 2nd would be a Rabid Squirrels or Slopmasters. Granted, I haven't fished my homemade ones, but will Friday.

ERC grinders. Love em.
Rabid Squirel. Only problem is the marabou LOVES holding weeds/slime.
M&G.
Fudally candy spin. Small, but fish catchers. Perfectly priced, too!

Big tooth tackle straight wire looks like it's going to be a winner. Llungen are well built baits too. If you can run across any old Muskie Machinery baits those were incredibly well built too.

I will recommend Grinders. I have not used most of these other ones but grinders are quality and very good in terms of weedless-ness.

Ghost Tail spinner baits are hard to beat.
They've been doin the straight shaft thing for as long as i can remember and they're as good or better than others when it comes to slidin through sans weeds.

Ace tandems by Jerry Ostrick he lives in Blaine MN, I have a few of his and have had good results with them. He is a member of the Flatlanders chapter #32 is where I met him. Many of those members raved about them so I got some and Im very confident using them. They go thru weeds very well.

I'm a spinnerbait chucking fool. I've thrown them all. For specifically targeting shallow weeds I'd recommend Grinders, Slopmasters, or Llungen Nutbuser Jr's. They are all in the "smaller" spinnerbait class and can handle speed to keep them above the weed line. I'm not a huge fan of the skirts on the grinders, but the bait itself performs well. The Slop Masters have a pretty small hook, but its a great down sized spinnerbait that I've stuck countless fish on. I usually add a grub to the hook. The Jr's are my go to and since I obviously have a bias I'll just leave it at that.

Now, I also like ACE's and CJ's, and Tandem Nutbusters . But I think they fish better on tapered weed line, not supper shallow. They are a bit bigger and heavier. Great for reefs, rocks, or weedy bays that have submerged vegetation.

Just my two cents....

Violent strike....get ahold of Steve Worrall.

Seconding this statement but if you can, get a hold of KEITH Worrall. He makes them, not the OLD man.

Personal fave is the cracked willow leaf style. Adds vibration and allows the heavier headed spinners (ie. easier to cast) to stay up closer to the surface.

Got my PB WI fish on one, kinda partial.

Bigtooth Straight-Wire is ridiculously awesome! I throw a lot of spinnerbaits, both the mini and the mag are bad to the bone fish catching machines and built like tanks!

Yeah, I know Keith makes them. I just use the old guy to get to him. I think Keith goes by Violent Strike on here?

Ace Tandems have been great for me. There are days when no other lure can put fish in the boat like these lures. And Jerry is genuinely a great guy!

Violent Strike. And if you want an absolutely 100% weedless lure, ask him about the Extractor. Runs through the nastiest pads, weeds, anything, without fouling, and hooks up well.

Not a fan of any spinner bait with the wire twisted to form the loop, have had too many of them break at that point.

Much prefer baits that are simply looped for the attachment point

Llungens are excellent with plenty of options. The design allows the fish to thrash more without unhooking themselves
