So I have installed my 24 V Xi5 on my X-190 but I am getting no connection through the outlet and plug. I have 24 V coming out of the batteries and 24 V with the red/blue and black/blue wires at the outlet. If I hard wire it, the trolling motor works perfect.

Could it be the plug or the outlet? This is a brand new plug and outlet. You can't really make a mistake with how you attach the plug to the TM. Black to negative. Red to 24 V. My voltmeter is reading 0 inside the outlet but the probes are not penetrating as deep as I'd like them to. The voltmeter on the leads going into the outlet are reading 24 V. Any advice? Thanks.

If you're boat has the big, round plug with 4 connectors, I would hardwire it.

Look at the plug burn bar and take the panel off to inspect the wiring.

Steve- I have 2 batteries that I connected in series with a jumper cable and I then I hooked up the 24 V batteries (red/blue and blk/blue) and left the 12 V wires in the battery compartment alone. With the 12/24 V Marinco plug/receptacle, am I supposed to hook up all 4 battery wires and send them to the receptacle and then does the plug take the 12 V from each battery and place them in series? I read this is the case on another forum. Marinco doesn't have these instruction on their website. I don't want to start experimenting and burn something up. Thanks.

All you need to do is attach like colored wires to battery 1 and battery 2, no jumper between them. So black/red to one battery and black/blue/red/blue to the other.
