Location: Jamestown, Pa. | I got a call from a customer in Iowa. He ordered a few customs ( previous customer). Then He said " he had purchased a Triple D in the Durst Purple Daze, And while fishing( probably casting), the snap lock opened up and the "D" came off. I should been mad but I couldn't help but smile as I watched the lure changing with those beautiful colors as it slowly sank down into Musky Heaven".
He ordered a replacement and they have to come from ERC now, BUT, I have been holding onto two blanks to paint for myself to use and that explanation for loss was so unique that I will paint a new one for him and send it with my blessing and compliments.
Now That man is dedicated to love of the sport, I'm afraid I would have managed a couple not so nice words.
My hat's off to you sir, | |

Makes me very proud indeed. I manage to miss seeing a few follows coming in as I still watch the color changing and not watching behind the lure until too late.
Hey Spongy,
You can do better than the pelican.

Location: Hartford, WI | Stan, reminds me of a trip to pelican lake wisconsin. We were night fishing, and my buddy had this brandy new glow in the dark bladed bucktail. He just bought it, tied it to his line, lit it up with the flash light, cast snap and a way she went, He was mad at first, but then turned started to laugh, and said, "My God, that was the fastest moving Falling star I have ever seen" Man you should of saw that sucker, glowing and streaking across the night sky.

That reminds me of Jason Long. He wanted me to paint him a glow in the dark lure ( now, he didn't say how bright he wanted it ). Sooooo, doing things the way I do, I painted him up a glow in the dark. The stuff I have is "super bright" and lasts longer than most phosphoresent paint.
He made a coment on the board one time on a glow topic of what I did for him. He said " it looked like a meteor going across the sky and when retrieving it, it looked like a car traveling under water with it's high beams on". So I guess when he told me I really need to "tone" it down a bit he ment that I over did it a little. Well after all, he did say "GLOW".
