Its obviously that the guy throwing lures in the front of the boat usually has a better chance of catching a musky. I've heard a few say that there are times when they would rather have there lures be seen last. When is this?
Thanks,

My clients always get the front of the boat so they get first crack at new water. However that dosen't mean they always catch the fish.
Over the season it's almost even as far as numbers of fish go.

Many times, fish that only follow on the first offering, will strike at the next lure they see. Working
together, can up the odds for both
anglers no matter where you are in the boat.

In Canada last year I was in the front of the boat and I did catch more fish than the guy in the back of the boat. However the fish he caught were much bigger than mine. I have heard this more than once about fishing Canada. I will be in the back of the boat this year, hopefully the big fish respond the same as last year and I will hook into a pig.

In Wisconsin when Krappie and I fish he usually fishes out of the back of the boat. He likes to work the deeper water while I work shallow, right at the break. That way we are both working "fresh water" and also covering two levels in the water column. He usually outfishes me, maybe its just he is a better fisherman?!?

I don't mind fishing the back of the boat. Musky don't always go for the first presentation and the boatside crashes from your partners follows can be lots of fun.

I always fish the back of the boat. My favorite spot on the boat. Dont ask me why, I just do better there.
