Location: Minnesota | I have a 5'6" pre China Dimondback Calcutta 400 TE. I use this for walk the dog like jackpots .. yes I have longer rods but I can get baits to dance with my little stubby rod . Just wondering every one is going bigger is any one else still using short rods. |

| I have a 6' 2" rod that works great for WTD baits and small glider jerkbaits. |

| 6 foot St. Croix. Got it used around 1993. That thing has a lot of fish on it and I won't ever get rid of it. Still has a Lew Childre reel on there too! Great glide bait/jerk bait rod. |

| I use a 6'10 G Loomis Maroon Series rod for Topwater and Jerkbaits. I just don't feel like I can work those jerkbaits or walk-the-dog style baits very effectively with a really long rod. |

| 6'6" but never really use it, unless i'm on family vacation or something (its a 2 piece).
Then i bring my 7'6" The jerk quite i bit, if i know i'm going to do a lot of jerkbait fishing.
But i always bring my 7'10" LT swimbait bass rod, that i use for small topwaters, jerkbaits, and swimbaits.
Other then that the "big dawg" and "sling blade" are my 2 "go too" rods |

| I still have a 6'3" I use when I bring friends with who don't have musky gear. I'm hoping it stays in decent shape so my now 3 year old can use it in a few years. |

Location: oswego, il | The shortest rod I use is my bought on sale for 19.99 BPS Flippin stick for baits 6" and under. Muskie sticks 8' in my small boat with 2 people. I work my rods across my body not up and down, thus the need for a shorter rod. In my big boat 8.5 and 9' rods or by myself in the little boat.
I have no issues working gliders, walk the dogs and jerkbaits very well with rods over 9' long. |

Location: Culloden, WV | Perfect conversation to ask if anyone would part with heavy action fast tip spinning rod that I can manage I am disabled fishing Muskie one handed so small 7' or so but heavy action fast tip I lose most of my Muskie by poor hook set and I think this type rod would help |

Location: Northern Illinois | Definitely still like the 7'0" for jerk and glide baits since I incorporate down snaps of the wrist - don't like the transition into the water with the rod tip and don't get quite the same action with the longer rod. Love the 8'6" for bucktails, cranks, rubber etc... Don't really care about "trends" to use longer for everything though. |

| 8' is my jerk bait rod. More work but keeps them pinned way better then the old 6.5 and 7'ers IMO. |

Location: Northern IL | I have multiple short trolling rods (under 5') used for running small lures in the shallows. Was out a couple of weeks ago and that's all we used, caught a dozen or so cats to 12lbs. and a few bass. |
