| Hey guys, has anyone been out on Kinkaid lately? My father and I will be heading that way next Tues and would love to hear how you have done and your thoughts on what to expect for next week. The weather looks like it will be in the 70's all week next week. Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated.
Also, does anyone know of a bar that has good food that would have the Blackhawks vs Blues playoff game in Murpheysboro? We are staying at Americas Best Value INN…. Tight Lines |

| I'll tell ya when I'm done Sunday. Hoping these rising temps kick them in a bit. I heard it's been very slow due to the rain and erratic temps lately. |

| If you don't mind catching bass, it was a good weekend. Slow lakewide Friday and today. Hope the warmer temps kick it in for you. |

| Agree with AR, it was a good weekend for bass. I had one muskie strike late in the day yesterday in super hot water while I was fishing bass. I had surface temps hit 70 at about 3 pm yesterday in 3 foot of water. Bass are just starting to bed up on the lower end of the lake. I found a few bluegill beds and saw one crappie lovemaking session.
No muskie but lots and lots of bass. |

| Surface temp today was 67 but the water is much colder below the surface. I saw two muskies moved around 9 am, one was on an inline.
The male bass are just starting to really move up and start nesting, I found some nice females waiting just off the nests. |

Location: Northern IL | My wife and I were in southern IL for my son's graduation on Saturday, fished Sunday from 10:30- 1:30 and caught this beat up 40"er under really tough conditions.
