Hey all,

I'm ordering a new boat and plan to add a Ulterra Ilink 36volt and 2x10 inch Helix graph's with networking. One of the graph's will have SI. I've had other boats, but this is my first foray into modern graph's and a high end TM. I'm not really sure how best to do this.

My idea is to link the TM on the bow to the console graph with SI and the transducers off the back. Then use the built in TM transducer just for 2d on the front graph.

I know way points are sharable, but maps are not. I would use a lakemaster chip in the console graph for follow the contour or saved routes....etc. While doing that, could the front graph independently use the built in TM transducer and show 2d sonar at the same time? How about if I added a second lake chip to the front graph. Could it then show the split screen 2d and map while following the contour from the console graph?

My other thought is to link the TM to the front graph. Then the console graph would be mostly for SI. Parts of that sound appealing, but I'm thinking my first idea is more functional.

Am I missing or overlooking anything? Any advise is much appreciated.

You will need the 5 port Ethernet switch to link all three together.
With them all linked and powered on you can share everything except map chip info. So you can view the SI,DI and 2d from the rear transducer on the bow graph and you can view 2d from the trolling motor transducer on the console graph You can do that in any combination of split screens.
Because you can only get map info from the graph that has the chip in it, you can only do a follow the contour from the graph from the graph that has the chip in it. Once started you do not need to have the map showing on the graph.
Those graphs also have Autochart live, which creates a contour map as you move, and I think you can later use those maps for a follow the contour.

Yup...5 port hub. I'll be helping a buddy rig his bot in a similar fashion next week.

My boat is set up the same way. I run Lakemaster chips in both bow and console units. In my case, I run the previous version at the bow, the newest one at the console (I figure it's more important to have up to date info running at speed).
