| Everyday the lines waiting to get into the Minnesota muskie expo were long especially on Friday which was a new attendance record. This was the perfect opportunity to inform people about all the politics and issues facing Minnesota muskie fishing.
Treats,Muskiefool and the MMPA volunteers tirelessly worked the line and entrance for hours all three days getting most of the attendees to pull out their phones and call, text, email the right offices and politicians. Many attendees were not aware of the issues and all were eager to respond after Treats,Fool, and the volunteers explained what we need to protect.
Sounds like the speaker of the houses voicemail and email will be like a cartoon where you walk over and open a closet door and get buried in a avalanche of everything.
"Great job guys"!!!!!!!!!

I attended about 4 or 5 sessions and I don't recall that any speakers saying anything directly. However things were very well covered before they spoke because folks took to the stage before the speaker started but during the slotted time frame to cover the issues. I also know that a number of vendors stepped up to donate lures to the Muskies Inc membership drive and I overheard several vendors talking about the importance of addressing the Political/stocking issue. There seemed to be a lot of good education regarding the issues going on both days, I might be mistaken but I also think I heard stuff about it over the PA system. |

We've got a lot on the line with this one. While I believe we will be victorious at the end of the day, Bills like this are like Jason or Freddie Kruger. Everytime you think you've killed them and gotten away they pop up in the back seat of your car trying to kill you.
We are SUPER appreciative of everyone who contacted Kurt this weekend, and who have given their input in the past. Things happen fast and often time change several times throughout the week. If you see a new call to action, read it as we may need some new support or have a different tactic for a change the situation.
Castmaster, the cap has more to do with campaign finance rules then anything else. If we take larger donations it's a total cluster on the accounting and reporting end. You did the right thing by donating for each person in your family.

Right before the lure building seminar we were informed of the current situation on the political issues with stocking and who to contact. |
