I'm considering a new shimano compare 9'6" xh. Anyone use this rod or any of the Compre rods? What's your opinion? My other option would be to buy anoth TI telescoping rod. Thanks!

I have a 9' TI in the Twin Cities metro if you're interested. http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/dak/spo/5522671741.html

I have used a 8'6" XH compre and it is lighter than my 86 mojo XH but nice rod and super convenient to store.

I have the 2 piece compre. A bit tip heavy/doesn't balance well at all with a Toro on it, but a good rod. I prefer my TIs over it because of the longer handle and both the telescopic and 1 piece 9' are just more comfortable to fish.

I have an 8' XH Compre split-grip. I love it for many things, and used it for everything before I got a 9' TI XXH. Now for all baits other than "big" stuff, I really like my compre.

Like ARmuskyaddict I have a Revo Toro (size 60) on it, and I think it's a great pair. My rod is not a 2-piece, so maybe that changes the balance aspect.

I have both compres and TIs in this same size and action you're considering. I'd recommend the TI now that the Shimano warranty is no longer lifetime. You really can't go wrong either way though.
