You probably need a new battery, the voltage is dropping too low when starting.

It could also be inadequate wiring to the graph.

How is your depth finder wired up? Is ran straight to the battery with a inline fuse or is ran through a fuse panel/breaker panel?

If its ran straight to your battery with decent sized gauge wire, I'd check your battery first. If its the another way, I'd make sure you check your wiring first and then your battery .

I had the same issue and originally thought it was my battery at first. So I replaced it. Still had the same issue after replacing the battery. I talked to a guy at Reeds about it and he suggested it was probably a wiring issue. He suggested running a larger gauge wire (that is fused) straight from the battery up to the locator. So in my case, I have a accessories switch on my dash that I had powered my graph off of. I ran a dedicated wire from the battery up to the switch and I haven't had any problems since.
