I will be graduating college in May, and my wife is thinking about taking me on a special trip to LOTW. We will be fishing the Angle in August, and are now considering a trip to the Morson area for my graduation and birthday presents. Just looking for suggestions for places to stay. Thinking maybe September. I've heard good things about Tamarac and Myles. Other than that I don't know much about the area.

Thanks!

If my wife was setting up a LOTW trip for me I would tell her to talk to Tamarack and New Moon Lodge and pick whichever one she liked better.

Miles Bay Camp and Grassy Narrows would be next in line. If you require mainland camps I have heard good things about mylies and Red Wing. I've been doing a trip to Buena Vista the last couple seasons and 2 this year. Location is awesome fishing wise but be prepared to deal with big water.

Hiya!!

The big water at Buena Vista can be somewhat bypassed if you first go East, then north rather than out to the big water. You can sneak in between islands to go north then back to the west if you choose.

Some great water close to mainland areas....just be willing to fish areas that others would overlook...

Where do you live Flyingfish? Tamarack Island Wilderness Lodge is at both the Northwest Sportshow thru Sunday this week, and at the MN Muskie Expo next Fri-Sun if you'd like to learn more. Great people and awesome locaton.

I'm in central WI, so driving 4.5hrs is a little out of the question. We did stop and talk to Grassy Narrows at the Milwaukee expo. She just mentioned it to me last week about taking a second trip to LOTW.
