| Have not seen much mentioned about this lure in a long time and I am just curious. Has anyone used the Dyin' Dawg and what is your opinion? Good, not so much, or....?
Have not used myself so can't offer any opinion.
Thanks |

Location: Minneapolis | The one my partner had looked more like a dead dawg in the water. Next to no action. I tried it and couldn't make it do much of anything either. Could easily be operator error, but I was unimpressed. |

| Love it personally,
Here's a review I did of it from last season:

Got 11 fish on it last season total...

| My boat has had good luck with the walleye pattern. I'm pretty sure Greg Thomas has a video online explaining how to fish it. |

Location: Ontario | For those that have caught fish on them, how did the tail hold out? That first joint in the tail looks like it would rip off with the slightest bit of pressure. |

| I think the action is hard to see from above, but from besides it in the water you see it's full action. Zero fish and zero followers for me |

| I just bought one from R&H and it arrived this morning. I ordered the black with orange tail. I was surprised to see the the belly was white. So - generally speaking, the fish will be looking up at this lure, I bought an white lure and not black.
Are all the undersides of the different variety of colors of this lure white?
A little disappointed that I have to break out the spray paint for what I thought was an all black lure.

| Thanks for the replies everyone.
Sounds like a bit of mixed results. I will end up getting one or two I'm sure but also wish they might have had a smaller "spring" sized version.

| You have to watch for the tail separating from the lure body, as soon as you see any separation, get the glue. Beyond that, they get torn up by fish, but are easily fixed with super glue. I've got one that I think the tail is more glue than rubber. Never seen one come apart anywhere other than the rubber/hard plastic junction. Repair damage asap and you should be fine.

Thanks for the added tip on the tail issue. Is there any way or value to add glue at the "joint" or seam before you even throw it the first time?
Thanks

| That's weird, mine makes some sharp dives, with a bit of tail flutter whit sharp puls 1-2 feet followed by a bit of slack line. |

| Tal,
I kind of bend the the edges of the tail and see if there's a gap. If there is, I put Pro's soft bait glue in it. Be careful, that stuff is super glue on steroids. If there isn't, check it while you're fishing and watch for a gap to develop, and glue it immediately. I haven't lost a tail since my first one doing this...
Wood,
Not sure how you're fishing it, I personally give it a hard (almost hook set) pull to start and then work it erratically back to the boat, long pulls, short pulls, rod tip up,etc. I've never even tried to fish it like the vids show. More like a bulldawg or medussa. I think the darting motion is what gets hits for me, like I mention in my review, I get almost no follows on it...
