Location: Park Rapids, MN | I just ordered my Pro V Bass XS today. I know that has been some discussion about this boat on this and other forums. I rigged it with a 150 mercury 4s, Motorguide XI5 80 lb, Lowrance Elite 7 TI with total scan at the console, Elite 7 TI no transducer linked to the XI5. I'll post pictures and give a report of how it fishes once it is delivered. Will be a significant upgrade over the 1980 Lund Pike I have been fishing out of. Good luck this season everyone!!

Location: Stanley, WI | It's too bad Lowrance doesn't allow an ethernet connection with those TI units. It would be nice to be able to share waypoints, maps and tranducers between those units. I'm hoping they release a 9" model next year with those capabilities, in the same price range as the helix 9. It would be nice for lowrance to have something that can be linked without having to spend the money on HDS units that have way too many optional features that most anglers have no plan to use. |

Location: Park Rapids, MN | Did some research before I ordered the Elite 7 TI's. They can share waypoints through NMEA 2000 but not transducer info like one would get through an ethernet connection. Will work well for what I will be using the units for. If I am mistaken please let me know. I have plenty of time to come up with other electronic options. Thanks. |

You're correct that you will be able to share waypoints through the NMEA network. Didnt realize that you were going to set up a NMEA network. Unfortunately, there is no map or transducer sharing option on those units though. Like I mentioned earlier, I really hope Lowrance realizes the gap that they have between the HDS and current TI options and comes out with a little larger screened TI with ethernet capabilities equivalent to the 9 and 10" helix units. I am a lowrance guy, but I think humminbird has hit a home run with those units. Although not cheap, they are much more affordable than HDS or Onix units with all of the features I would need. |
