Location: Black Creek, WI | What is wrong with Mother Nature this year? We've had a perpetual east wind all season! Fortunately, the fishing hasn't suffered TOO badly. Do you think when we finally get a good stable SW wind the fish will go CRAZY??? Man, I hope so.

| I am just happy to have a wind. It slows things down a bit for sure but I have been lucky to get a 45",36" and 33" on topwater the last couple of days. Some chop is better then no chop in my opinion....well unless its off lake Michigan like when I fished Pewaukee. Then the east wind brings cold, sometimes 45 degrees in June.
But I am working baits slow and its working. Keep with it Jason, the wind will blow SW soon!.
Good fishing!

Location: Warroad, Mn | I'll bet that the fish don't have any idea which way the wind is blowing! They are pretty much under the water, and I'll bet it's real hard to figure out which way the wind is from when you are down there. Doug Johnson |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | It looks like finally a more stable pattern setting up. I haven't been out much, but that is about to change!! I am hoping for some warmth. As in Spring, or maybe even late Winter or the equivelent. |

Location: Black Creek, WI | I agree with Travis. The fishing has been exceptionally good so far this season, despite the east winds. I was just curious if the old adage of "When the wind is from the East the fish bite the least, and when the wind is from the west the fish bite the best" will hold true. If it does, this year is going to be AWESOME.

| The mid Atlantic region has been hammered w/ wind, rain, T-storms for over a month now, and it for sure biteth! Seems the patterns from the midwest to the east coast are screwed up thus far this year. I like to fish just prior to a nor'easter blow depending on the time of year, especially in the surf. Not sure if the east wind really affects the fishing that much; maybe depends on how long she blows. I know that here, an east wind almost always indicates bad weather... |

| Jason, Jason, Jason...it's all good.
wind from the east calls up the beast
wind from the west fish bite the best
wind from the north and lunkers come forth
wind from the south blows bait in fishes mouth
er, what was that surface bait you were using Jason S? |

Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | Tell him what color you made it, he would never guess. Ugly but it works on that water. I can't wait to get up there. Is it June 27th yet? |
