I just found out Evinrude was caught. Evinrude was a nick-name we gave a very large musky that I had on for maybe a whole minute up on Lake of The Woods. We gave her that name because of the way she tore up the water. She was only the second super-lunker I have ever seen in 27 years of musky fishing(I started very Young ha ha)and the only super-lunker I had on. The resort owner that we stay at said she went 54 inches and an even forty pounds and is on her way to South Dakota to be over a fireplace. Oh well that is the way things go. Now please "Lucy" get lock-jaw until next July (she is the other super-lunker). Good fishing Musky Alan.[:((]

The only comfort is to know that there will be another.....they don't live forever. I have been fishing muskies long enough to witness the disappearance of several generations of pigs to plain old age...Good news is that over the years, they have been replaced as is Nature's plan![] I know the feeling. I felt the same way when two years after catching and releasing a true monster, she quit showing up where she had been for 10 years. I think she died of old age, was losing vision when I caught her.

This year, I LOST one bigger. Alot bigger.[:blackeye:]
