| On Saturday, June 7, the Phillips Chain of lakes displayed to all its muskie fishing potential. It was the third year that the Wisconsin Muskie Tour visited the Phillips Chain and for the first time, the spring conditions were close to normal. The muskie fishing was hot and twelve muskies would be measured by anglers, with many more seen or lost.
The tournament paid down 5 places:
1st place- Scott Lewandowski, Deerbrook and Dan Dassow, Medford
2nd place- Mike and Steve Schneider, both of Phillips
3rd place- Garrett Shipman, Medford and John Kleczewski, Withee
4th place- Jim Komar, Pewaukee and Tom Wilson, Mukwonago
5th place- Adam Koopman, Hager City and Kip Schroeder, Amery
