| Made it to 21 beers last night and then everything went black....Ms. Slamr told me this morning that I was babbling in my sleep something like "Spongie, you're KILLING me....". I give up the VIGIL, if he posted on the 2nd, I guess I just wasted a ton of beer....but then again what is a waste of beer? Maybe drinking with a perch-jerker or a walleye guy...

| This is SERIOUS!!!!!! I still have not located Sponge, with only a rumored email to confirm his saftey. We have thousands of anglers looking, and no Sponger to be found. I looked a Zach's old hideout, sauger.com, and thought, for an instant, that I saw him, but it was JOHNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNYY, not Sponge. |

| Got an email from him this afternoon.....suffering major burn-out after a skunk-arro on the Cave. BUT, he'll be out killing animals soon, should brighten his spirits. And I was afraid that with him being a POSTAL WORKER and all......I guess I would have heard it on the news......being one of a select few who actually know his real name that is.

| Daggone dudes!!! Trying to take care of some stuff around the hacienda before bow season tomorrow....thanks for the concern though as I could lay in the floor here at home deader 'n a manakin + me other 2 wouldn't even notice! Anyway good to be back + still kicking me self for missing a fish.....was foggy as all get out + I stopped reeling + started telling a story + daggoned if one wasn't right there in front of me staring at the bait...before that I was looking up in the sky + had 1 blow up behind my top water....Mauser nailed 2 + we had a blast; Crashs open house was great + many Pay Days were consumed as were coke colas + slim jims. Only 1 w/ shorts on Sunday morning + about froze but still had fun....once a cheer leader always a cheer leader......sad to hear it is cold there as it will most likely hit 80 here + I'll be fishing tonight! While you boys are gathering firewood at the end of the month I'll pop a cold coke cola in your memory as I reel in yet another redfish or striper + stretch out on the point....soon it will be time for a CONTEST + more fun...thanks again for asking....[:sun:] |

| I consider myself most fortunate as I can sit in one spot for long periods of time + travel to many areas on vacation....I can then share my adventures w/ the Sponge Babe + she is amazed how much money we saved! There are others on this board that have displayed this capability but are either unaware of this or are ashamed to admit it.....Monica read this entire post last night + by Gumby I think it saved our marriage! She was touched by the fact that someone actually made an effort to wonder where I was[;)] as she wasn't aware I was in another state. She even went so far as to say we could move someday.....she was also amazed at the talent displayed by those who were able to take a simple topic + make it run for 2 pages!!! You guys have not only made a new friend but have also put a temporary hold on future domestic altercations here in our home! Monica wants you all to come stay w/ us this spring + get a FREE flea/tick dip at the local Southern States Feed Store; this has become a family ritual enjoyed by hundreds who gather for a weekend of healthy fun + games. anyone interested let her know![:sun:] |

Thought I'd maybe lost a good friend as I heard he'd hung himself on a Reef Hog and had ended it all. Thought maybe that blowup in the fog early Monday on the topwater was too much for his delicate soul to handle , then the follow on the spinner bait an hour later and I started to panic and shake . All of my mental power went out to him but alas, it wasn't to be. I can only say that with his ever present smile , I feel sure he will Not give up his quest in search of a Cave Run record......If only he can find someone who will spend the day opening cokes and upwrapping PayDays for him .
