Location: Eau Claire, WI | So who's got a topwater bite going...?
Our surface temps went from 72 to 63 over the weekend but we are still getting action on topwater.
Somebody please kick me in the fanny and tell me to set the hook the next time a mid 40's has my jackpot in it's mouth and is completely out of the water doing gymnastics...But no....instead of setting the hook I just laugh at the silly fish and tell my partner, "hey did you see that"...LOL

| 1 pike, and 1 miss. No follows that I've seen. Been slow for me so far this year.
A certain Ford that I drive almost daily is now "Musky Pup" equipped. Thanks Mark.

Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | I boated two last Thursday on TopRaiders. That was after a period of warming waters and the surface temp got up to 68. When I got back on the water Saturday temps had dropped to 64. I didn't give topwaters much of a shot because I just don't have that much confidence in them when water temps are dropping in the spring. |

| Topwater has been one of my top producers so far this season.
We got one on opening weekend, then it was pretty slow until this past Thur.
I had a client out on Thur. and he had a ton of action on a Bullfrog Topraider. He had 3 fish miss the lure in about 45 minutes.
Then yesterday during the University of Esox school I had a client raise 5 and finish up the day with one on a Super Topraider. That's right I said Super Topraider. I have never been afraid to throw topwaters from opening day on. God bless.

Location: Alexandria, MN | I had low to mid 60's for water temp on Tonka this Saturday -- moved two on a HR Top Prey -- Didn't get hooks into either of them. Had a lazy one follow a bucktail, but didn't see many fish.
I like to throw the "Jackpot" type lures all year! I have moved/caught fish from opener to ice up.
Good Luck!

| Wed. evening caught a musky in 63.9 degree water. Caught it on a
Black Husky Hog Wobbler. Raised one other fish later. Never had
much confidence below 65 but that is begining to change.

| Well as per another thread I started I got my first on a BPS Topknocker. Early mornings on Webster they've been real active on top. |

Location: north central wisconsin | We've had quite a few on topraiders now, with a few in the 40's. Had two fish try to comit suicide on a joel wick creeper the other night, but they couldn't tighten the noose. |

| We were seeing some action on the Jackpot until recently. Of course recently we have not had any action. Caught the first one on the jackpot on May 6 with 61 degree water. |

Location: Omaha | In Nebraska, we're seeing a little action on Top Raiders out on Merritt, a few dinks hitting shallow spinnerbaits. Big Northerns are sporadic. Caught a 15# Northern on the refuge Sunday using a Fl. White Destroyer bucktail. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Last week on Boom I had a nice fish blast a Doc, but missed her. On the next cast, she followed to the boat and gave me a look or two. Haven't been out since, but Rhinelander Muskie League is tonight on Moens, so hopefully things clear. Sue will be tossing a topwater all evening. |

Location: Stevens Point, Wi. | Was out Mon. and got 2 on a prop type topwater. Both came on figure 8's while pulling bait underwater. Pretty cool watching them. |
