Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Well, off to baitfish (walleyes) for the weekend on 'Bago. Best guess is we will not win, but gotta give it a try! Good luck to everyone chasing muskies this weekend. |

Location: Greenfield, WI | In a short term time frame, it is better to be lucky than good! In your case you are both, but you still are in the honeymoon phase of your new marriage (at least for the next 30 years!) so your consentration might be a little marginal anyway, you better go for the luck option! Good Luck! |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Well, we had a great day on the water, but didn't put a limit in the rig. We had four on that were livewell worthy, but two came unpinned. We are in striking distance of a check with 6.76 pounds, two fish, but we are going to have to be VERY persistent. Never had a follow, at least any that I could identify. :} |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | It was an interesting day. We popped a 16 and a 17 right away off of Waverly (Thanks, Troy!) but then could only master 13 to 14 inch fish. The weather kicked up and I RAN, way befoe it got to us. I saw the wall cloud forming, and had a very odd experience just before the storm. We were wrapping up to make a run for it, and when I reached for the third rod I got a shock that actulayy HURT, and I mean alot. Bill grabbed the trolling rod on his side, and immediately swore and dropped the rod. I actually heard the snap when he got zapped. As I was reeling in the board about mach 4, a 19 incher smacked the crankbait, our last fish for the day. What a storm! It rained so hard I couldn't see at all, and ran by GPS back even though we were only 5 miles out. The Festival was evacuated before we got there, and the sirens were blasting all over the area. Here is a link to a picture Troy ( Mr Bluegill) took of one of the funnel clouds that crossed the lake. http://walleye.outdoorsfirst.com/ I am glad to be home. We ended up with just under 13 for 80th out of 300 I guess, not enough. Needed those few we punted, but that is fishing! |
