| Was sorting through the tackle box last night getting ready for the opener. Anyways had a compartment that had a bulldawg and a believer in it together and at the places where the two lures where touching the paint job on the believer was getting eaten away. What kind of plastic do they use in them things? I've had a squirlley burt in with other lures and never had a problem with the tail on those eating away at other baits. So now all Bulldawgs stay together. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Location: Alexandria, MN | Any of those plastics with a "shine" and/or "greasy" feel will eat un-protected paint, and some other plastics. Always keep your softplastics in a wormproof container and away from painted lures with no clear coat.
I have had Jakes, Swim Whizz, Believers and Painted Blades all "attacked" by softplastic.
Just try to keep them seperate and things will be fine. Except for that Believer -- Once "melted" that mess is hard to clean up.

| Yeah! This is very common, especially with older collectible lures. The infamous "worm burn" where a rubber worm was lying next to a nice wooden bait and over time takes the paint off down to the wood. I've had platics touching each other that have changed colors when mixed. |

Location: Davenport, IA | Believers have a very sensitive paint too. They can get ruined from the sun, so be careful. Definetly never mix the new "tough" soft plastics with regular soft plastics, thats a mess. |
