I have an opportunity to purchase a Daiwa Millionaire musky reel that is a couple of years old. Does anyone have any experiences or comments, good or bad, about this reel?

Thanks

The CVZ is very nice. Especially smooth caster. I would highly recommend it if it is a CVZ. The less expensive Millionaire is not in the same league as the CVZ though.

I have one and like it a lot. The spool is very wide so it takes quite a bit of line (I use powerpro 65). It seems like more than the comprable Calcutta & Morrum.

One of the things I like most is that they are very easy to maintain. Breaks down quickly and easy to lube.

There are 3 millionaire series. The cheapest is the ms-250 and ms-300 reels, in the middle is the cv-x series and at the top os the cv-z series. I have a cv-x 253a that I bought this winter for $80 and so far I love it. It casts really good and is very smooth. There is very little, if any plastic on that reel.

I have a CVZ253 and it is awesome. I was trying to choose between the calcutta and the CVZ. I could not make up my mind so I did the Musky thing

I BOUGHT ONE OF EACH!!!!!!!
