Hey Al,

I'll be heading up to Minnesota Thrs. AM to fish the opener on Saturday. I'll be going right through your neck of the woods and was wondering if you'll be around that I could pick up one of those baits off ya? I gotta see if those Minnesota hawgs like 'em as much as the Wisconsin fish seem to?

Let me know...

Phish Killer- I don't have any stock here. It's all in WI Rapids @ the office/warehouse and Mike's on the road until Saturday. I don't think I'll be fishing much this weekend. What I will do is give you a couple of mine out of my box. You'll have to drop them back off on your way back home. You'll also have to changeout the hooks, all my lures are barbless. I've also got some barbed hooks- that are not attached any lures. What time are you coming through?  Give me a call (608-847-6123) when you hit Wisconsin Dells & I'll meet you at the Mauston Park Oasis, it's on the right as you take Mauston exit -you can't miss it. Well maybe...............shhhhhhhhhh I gotta bite!

AL,

That sounds great...you are the man! I will drop them off on Sunday. I'm actually coming through Mauston on 82 from Fond du lac (that's were my boat and gear are now), I know right were the Mauston park oasis is. I will be come through kind of early on Thursday, probably like 7-8 am. If that's too early I can leave a bit later.

I'll give you a call tonight....

Thanks AL

Sorry to kind of pop off topic, but you brought up a good question I have been wondering about for awhile now. Why do more musky anglers not use barbless hooks? I am still a musky virgin so I really don't know what the deal is. Just seems like it would help remove a LOT of the stress on the fish (and the angler's hands) with hook removal as well as help lower the times you have to cut hooks off and possibly leave a piece of hook in the fish?
