This was my favorite show last year, by a comfortable margin. This year, the Milwaukee Show was a HUGE (picture the Donald saying huge) improvement over past shows, so it's a horse race for me. We'll see, but I sure wouldn't miss this show!

At least five from Minnesota will,,,and we'll be getting fatter, across the street from patriot center is a great Chinese buffet for lunch.

Been to this show every year it's great,,,breaks the mold has far has shows not has big has chi, milw,Minn but has some vendors who come that you don't normally see.
The seminars are great !! guys who again you don't normally hear with some different tactics I attend more seminars here then any other show because it's not the same old faces.

Swap meet has been a gem finder so far,,,this part of wisconsin some guys don't make it to other shows and swaps so some hard to find not picked over collections,,last year got an original first generation LOW RIDER,square lipped Jake's, and one guy brought about 200 bulldawgs.

For you Minnesota guys who complain and suffer about having to wait till April for the expo this is a pretty easy not too far drive from the metro. A Saturday there and back will work if you can't stay.

Fun Show

As long as food got brought up, I stayed over at the hotel there and the bar/restaurant was really hopping after the show, and the food was totally up to my liking-drinks too!

Junk- which hotel is that? Is it close to the convention center? I have not been able to get to this show, but it looks like this year may be a possibility!!

Thanks!

Please join us for the 2016 Wisconsin Musky Expo located at the Central Wisconsin Convention and Expo Center (previously the Patriot Center) in Wausau, Wisconsin March 4th, 5th and 6th. This year's show looks to be our biggest show to date with many new lure manufacturer's selling their hard to find baits. We have a great list of seminar speakers including Tony Rizzo, Lee Tauchen, Steve Herbeck and many more. Be one of the first 200 paid attendees on Friday and receive a free Musky lure. Register to win a full weeks stay at Donners Bay Resort on the famous Turtle Flambeau Flowage or maybe be a winner of one of our hourly door prize giveaways. All this musky fun will be capped off on Sunday where one of the first 250 paid attendees will win a free weeks stay at Merkel's Camp on world famous Wabigoon Lake in Canada. Thats a 1 in 250 chance to win, way better odds than powerball and all you have to do to be entered is be one of the first 250 attendees on sunday, hope to see you there.

The Wausau Area Muskies Inc Chapter 62 will be hosting a lure swap on Saturday March 5th at the Central Wisconsin Convention and Expo Center, in the same building as the Wisconsin Musky Expo. Set up will begin at 6:00 and start at 6:15pm until 8pm. There will be a cash bar for refreshments, as well as pizza provided compliments of the Wisconsin Musky Expo. The Wisconsin Musky Expo has opted not to charge a fee for the hall or per table used for the lure swap. The lure swap will be free of charge and everyone is welcome, although the Wausau Area Muskies Inc Chapter 62 would like to invite you to show your appreciation for their hospitality in lieu of fees to make a donation to the Wausau Area Muskies Inc Chapter 62 of $2 to put toward stocking efforts. Stop by and talk to some of our guys at the Wausau Area Muskies Inc booth at the expo.

I was there yesterday working for Take A Vet Fishing and Recon Boats. I've always liked this show. The vendors, people and the weather were all great yesterday. Talked with Bucher and Maina at Recon's booth and watched Joe's concert at 5:00 he was great. By the way a big shout out for Pete Stoltman on drums. But what I really was impressed with was the folks that stopped by the Take A Vet Fishing booth. Its my favorite part of working for TAVF is the people I meet and the get to spend time with.

I just ordered some of those Big games they look incredible.
I will be in the Spanky Baits booth all weekend- Stop and check out his new "99" a double 9 bucktail. with a body halfway between his 11" and the double 8. Put a lot of fish over 45" in my boat last season. We will also have more of the New 9' Jeff Hanson series Spankybaits Bucktail rods in the booth for sale (sold a bunch of them at Milwaukee show). Come check one out they are very light. I beat the snot out of these rods last year testing them, they are great rods.
I also will be giving a seminar on Early season fishing Sunday morning at the show.

I'll be there on Saturday at Muskie Mark's Guide booth - I'll be selling raffle tickets for our club -> Muskies Matter Inc. to stock muskies in Castle Rock & Lemonweir River. Stop by and chat muskies or book a trip w/ Mark on WI River south of Nekoosa down to below Castle Rock Dam -WI Dells.

Muskie Matters Inc has stocked $19000 dollars of muskies in last 6 years, each year its going up from support by the muskie fishing community. 8 prizes on one ticket including a week in 2017 for two at Youngs Wilderness Camp (American Plan) just show up- $2K trip, just fish LOTW out of Nestor Falls. Perry donated half the trip to help us stock fish down here. That's a great tribute to his integrity in supporting our cause. Help us preserve a fishery for our childrens, children's, children- sounds like Moody Blues tune ehhh? But its true, if we don't do it, no one else will!

Looking forward to the swap also, I had a great time last year at this show. Lots of great vendors, many who only do this show. Some good speakers too......Last year I spent more money than all three previous shows. Need some restraint maybe???????? Nahhh- I'm not bringing the wife!

Have fun!

I tracked down a pic of some of the new Big Game color 'reality series' schemes.... these are prototypes we used last season. The Perch put a fish in the boat during the PMTT Vermillion event, the Orange-perch looks and worked great in stained water. Check them out at the shows they all went fast in Chicago...
