| Well, looks like a nasty cold weekend coming for Nothern WI. Naturally, I will be in Minocqua this weekend. Any thoughts as to what tactics will be working?

| I'm acually very excited about the cold weather coming. This time of year, a good cold front can really get the fish on the bite!!!! I will be using a variety of lures(including surface baits) in the Hayward area this weekend, but will concentrate on remaining green weeds, and a couple shallow rock bars that come out of deep water. I will throw Trophy divers, big Jakes, Reef hawgs, Topraiders, and drag a sucker on a homemade quick hitter. I hope to contact a fish or two doing that, if not, its off to trolling the big water. Mon, and Tues will have me floating my favorite Northwest WI river for that early fall fattie!!! | |
