Now I now this isn't a real unique idea but thought I would share it. I am taking my father and cousin to Eagle lake the end of June and we are going for muskies...OK and maybe some walleye.

I was trying to figure out how I was going to store all the rods, especially the rods for bait (spinning rods). The Tuffy 1760 tiller (That I have) has a really big rod box. But we all know that when you start mixing in spinning rods in the box things can get ugly.

The Tuffy has a wide gunnel with lots of space up under the cap. So I took some plastic strap material ans screwed it into the wood strip that runs against the inside of the outer wall. Second I drilled a small hole and took a black bolt and bolted the other end of the strap to the very inside of the cap. Gets the rods up off the boat floor/walk area and stores them nicely.

I am going to try and attach some photos.

Tried the set up this weekend and works great. Rods stay put and are up out of the way. Now I can store 3 spinning rods per side and keep the rod box for the essentials...muskie rods!

That is a great idea, sir! Lots of anglers here can adapt that to their Aluminum boat, as most of the aluminums have gunnels like the Tuffy with the area underneath.
